PAYROLL/HR ASSISTANT

Job description
RoMac Building Supply has an immediate opening for a Payroll /HR Assistant in Leesburg, Florida. With over 350 employees, RoMac is one of Florida’s premier residential and commercial building material suppliers. A family owned company; we have been in business since 1945.

Responsibilities:

Assist with payroll functions including time punches, reports, verifying paid time off accruals and usage and fixing errors.
Process weekly payroll for all personnel.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records and documentation
Assist with benefit administration including claims resolutions, monthly enrollment and change reporting and communicating benefit information to employees.
Assist with human resource information system records and compile reports from the database
Assist with compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefit laws and regulations.
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
Assist with monthly random drug testing
Assist with maintaining FMCSA required records for all CDL drivers
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Solid knowledge of MS Office and/or Google Suite
Working knowledge of Paylocity payroll and human resource system a plus
Ability to handle highly sensitive information in a confidential manner
Able to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.
Able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy with strong data entry skills
