MECHANIC ASSISTANT

RoMac Building Supply has an immediate opening for a Maintenance technician in our truss plant located in Leesburg, Florida. With over 350 employees, RoMac is one of Florida’s premier residential and commercial building material suppliers. A family owned company; we have been in business since 1945.

Responsibilities and duties:

Perform minor mechanical repairs
Help the lead mechanic complete major repairs.
Assist with maintaining updated records of preventative maintenance
Inspect vehicles and equipment and evaluate condition; service as needed
Operate tools, equipment and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures
Other duties as may be assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Able to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs with general supervision
Able to operate equipment and tools involved in vehicle repair and maintenance
Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience
Driver’s License with good driving record
Organized and detail oriented
Forklift repair experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour
