Window Installation Process

Once you’ve selected your new replacement windows, it’s time to get them installed. To summarize, RoMac Building Supply makes window installation simple, easy and stress-free. Although every project is unique, here’s what to generally expect from the window installation process:

Prior to Window Installation

Prior to installation, you’ll be asked to prep your home by:

  • Removing drapes, shades and blinds
  • Clearing space around the interior and exterior of your windows 
  • Designating preferred entry exit routes for installers
  • Making sure children and pets are safely out of the way

Window Installation Day

On installation day, our certified window installers will arrive at your home, perform a site inspection, provide a recap of the process and estimated completion time, and answer any additional questions you might have. Generally, installations can be done in 1- 3 days, depending on the size of your project.

Old Window Removal & Protecting Your Home

Our installers will put down drop cloths to keep your home clean and get out their tools and materials. Next, they’ll remove your old windows, being very careful to protect your home’s interior and exterior including paint, trim and walls.

Installing, Sealing & Capping

First, your old windows are removed, our professional installers will install the new windows. Then, they will insulate and seal your windows, while capping the exteriors.

Installation Clean Up & Inspection

Before completion, our project foreman will perform a final inspection to ensure perfect fit and finish, or schedule any follow-up work that may be required. Lastly, they’ll pick up their drop cloths, put away their tools and carefully clean their work spaces.
