Job Title: Truss Plant Maintenance Technician

 

RoMac Building Supply has an immediate opening for a Maintenance technician in our truss plant located in Leesburg, Florida. With over 500 employees, RoMac is one of Florida's premier residential and commercial building material suppliers. A family owned company; we have been in business since 1945.

 

Responsibilities:

• Inspects and repairs production equipment and other facility equipment including saws and presses as necessary.

• Designs and builds equipment as needed for various phases of plant or facility operation.

• Installs safety equipment.

• Maintains maintenance supplies and spare parts.

• Keeps service and maintenance records and schedules of repair on all equipment.

• Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled.

• Monitors vendor repair costs, materials, time and parts.

• Able to troubleshoot system failures and recommend methods of repair.

• Other duties as assigned by location management.

• Florida Driver's License (Required)

 

We require a valid driver's license with a 3 year clean driving history for insurance purposes and a clean background.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Special skills required - working knowledge of electrical, wire, plumbing, carpentry and welding systems

• Other - Ability to disassemble and assemble for repair various types of equipment and internal systems

 

Experience:

• Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

• Welding: 1 year (Preferred)

• Electrical: 1 year (Preferred)
