RoMac Building Supply was founded by H.D. “Buck” Robuck and his brothers after World War II. What began as a single lumberyard in Green Cove Springs became a cornerstone of Leesburg, Florida in 1946, and has remained proudly family-owned ever since.
Now over 80 years strong, RoMac serves communities across Central Florida with 13 specialized divisions in Leesburg, Mount Dora, The Villages, Wildwood, Orlando and Ocala. We provide high-quality building materials and expert services for residential, commercial, and remodel projects.
From framing lumber and roofing to custom doors, windows, insulation, and millwork, RoMac is trusted by builders, contractors, and homeowners alike. We also offer support services like drafting, truss design, and professional installation for windows, doors, and garage doors.
Our products meet Florida’s strict building codes, and our experienced team works hard to find, or create, exactly what your project needs. For generations, RoMac has proudly supplied the materials and expertise that help build the communities we call home.

The company officially adopted the Ro-Mac Lumber name through the merger with Leesburg Lumber & Supply, opening its first location in Leesburg, Florida, where it still operates today.
1947
Ro-Mac Lumber & Supply, Inc. was founded in Green Cove Springs, Florida, when the Robuck and McDonald families purchased Woods Lumber Company.
1945

By September, a newly rebuilt facility was opened in Leesburg, establishing what would become the company’s primary location for decades to come.
1973
A devastating fire, sparked by an electrical wiring mishap involving a truck, completely destroyed the Leesburg facility.
1972

Leadership transitioned as Dan Robuck, Jr. became CEO, succeeding his father, H.D. Robuck, Sr., who had led the company for more than 40 years.
1988
Ro-Mac expanded operations by constructing a pre-hung Door Plant, marking the beginning of its specialty manufacturing facilities.
1981

Ro-Mac began construction of a state-of-the-art truss plant and expanded its Lady Lake location with a dedicated millwork department.
1999
Don Magruder was named General Manager, ushering in an aggressive, growth-oriented strategy for the company.
1998
Ro-Mac added a third location with the purchase of Golden Triangle Building Supply in Mount Dora, Florida.
1994
The company strengthened its portfolio by acquiring Holloway Garage Door Company, establishing Ro-Mac as one of Central Florida’s premier garage door installers.
1992
Ro-Mac continued its growth by opening a new facility in The Villages, expanding into one of the nation’s fastest-growing communities.
1991

Expansion continued with the opening of new facilities in Wildwood to support the growing Garage Door and Window Departments.
2005
Ro-Mac purchased Gilcrest Lumber, adding a new location in Chiefland, Florida.
2004
The company entered the Ocala market with the opening of a low-cost commodity rail yard, providing Marion County builders with affordable building materials.
2001

The company rebranded as RoMac Building Supply, reflecting its evolution into a full-service building materials distributor.
2018
The third generation of the Robuck family entered leadership as Dan Robuck III became Chief Financial Officer.
2012
In response to the housing recession, Ro-Mac made the difficult decision to close its Chiefland location.
2011
Don Magruder was promoted to Chief Executive Officer, while Dan Robuck, Jr. assumed the role of President.
2010

RoMac opened a 124,000-square-foot Truss Plant and a 110,000-square-foot Panel Plant and Lumberyard in Coleman, Florida, supporting the continued growth of The Villages and surrounding communities. RoMac also acquired Thomas Lumber in downtown Orlando.
2025
Leadership transitioned once again as Dan Robuck III became President, while Dan Robuck, Jr. assumed the role of Executive Chairman.
2024
RoMac strengthened its presence in Wildwood with the acquisition of T&D Distribution from the Yoder family, enhancing its ability to supply materials to The Villages.
