FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
DOORS
There is nothing wrong with my front door but i just want to make it look nicer/update it. Is that possible?
Yes! We can take your current front door and add glass into the door. This creates instant curb appeal, saves you money on redoing your entire door unit and only takes about 30 minutes to install the glass.
Do your doors have a warranty?
All of our products have warranties attached to them ranging from a couple years to a lifetime warranty. Any install issues that may come up are warranted under Romac for the first year after install.
Do the units come pre painted / stained?
Most of our units do not come pre-finshed meaning it is up to the homeowner to paint or stain their door after installation. This avoids any scratches or damages to the doors finish during the install process.
What about new locks and hardware?
New locks do not come with the unit. However, we have a lock display from kwikset that you can pick not only the style but also the color of any new locks you would want. This gets added onto your order and we will install them onto your new unit.
What makes you different from big box stores and the doors they have in stock?
The doors that those stores carry are full height & width doors. Meaning, if you have a custom opening that may be smaller than your standard opening, their doors will not fit. At Romac, we customize heights and widths of our units to fit into any size opening.
What are some signs that indicate I need to replace my residential door?
Signs that may indicate you need to replace your residential door include damage such as cracks, warping, rotting, or dents, drafts or air leaks, difficulty opening or closing the door, or an outdated appearance.
Can I replace my residential door myself or should I hire a professional?
It is possible to replace your residential door yourself if you have the necessary tools and experience, but it is often recommended to hire a professional for the best results and to ensure proper installation and safety.
How long does it take to replace a residential door?
The time it takes to replace a residential door can vary depending on the complexity of the project and whether any additional work is needed, such as repairing the door frame or adjusting the opening size. However, most residential door replacements can be completed in a few hours to a day.
What should I expect during the residential door replacement process?
