3. How We Use Your Information
Your mobile information and text message consent
RoMac does not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number, your text message opt-in information, or your consent records with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. We share this information only with the service providers who help us operate our text messaging program, and they may use it only to send messages on our behalf.

How we use the rest of your information
We use personal information to:
-

-
Communicate with you about quotes, orders, deliveries, service appointments, invoices, and account or credit matters.
-
Process credit applications and payments through our third-party providers.

Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms and Conditions and other agreements.
4. Cookies, Tracking, and Your Choices
We use cookies and similar technologies on the Website. Some are necessary for the site to function. Others are used only with your consent.
Our consent banner
-
We use Usercentrics as our consent management platform. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all cookies, decline all non-essential cookies, or set your preferences by category. Non-essential cookies are not set until you consent.
-
You can reopen the preference panel at any time using the privacy icon displayed on the Website, and change or withdraw your choices. We keep a record of the choice you make, as described in Section 2.
-
We also block certain embedded third-party components, such as maps and social media content, until you consent to them. Where a component is blocked, you will see a placeholder that you can click to load it.
Categories we use
Essential. Required for the Website to work, including security, load balancing, form handling, and remembering your consent choice. These are always active.
Functional. Support features that improve your experience, such as embedded content and displayed customer reviews.
Analytics. Help us understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve it.
Advertising. Support measurement and personalization of our advertising, including on Google and Meta platforms.
Technologies in use
The following are active on the Website. This list reflects our most recent review and we update it as our tools change.
Wix, our website platform, which provides hosting, forms, blog, and site analytics.
Google Tag, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, and Google Tag Manager, provided by Google LLC.
Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. The Conversions API sends information about website activity from our servers to Meta rather than from your browser.
Usercentrics, our consent management platform.
UserWay, our website accessibility tool.
Third-party applications that display customer reviews and support site performance.
Browser signals
Global Privacy Control. Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising, and apply it to that browser and device.
Do Not Track. Browsers offer a Do Not Track setting, but there is no common industry standard for how sites should respond to it. We do not respond to Do Not Track signals. Use the consent banner or Global Privacy Control instead.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share your mobile phone number or text message consent with any third party for that party's own marketing. We share information in the following ways.
Within RoMac
Between Ro-Mac Lumber & Supply, Inc. and RoMac Distribution, LLC, and across the RoMac Building Supply and RoMac Home Services brands, for the purposes described in this Policy.
With service providers
We share information with vendors who perform services for us and are permitted to use it only for that purpose. By category, these include:
Website platform and hosting: Wix.
Consent management: Usercentrics.
Analytics and advertising: Google and Meta, as described in Section 4.
Credit applications and payment processing: our third-party credit and payment portal providers.
Scheduling, dispatch, and customer communication for RoMac Home Services, including appointment text messages: ServiceTitan.
Email marketing and subscriber management: Wix Ascend.
Delivery, logistics, manufacturing, and installation partners, where needed to complete your order or perform your work.
Other disclosures
In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
To comply with law, respond to lawful requests from government or law enforcement, or respond to a subpoena or court order.
To protect the rights, property, or safety of RoMac, our customers, our employees, or the public.
In aggregated or de-identified form that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
With your consent, or at your direction.
6. Advertising and Analytics
Where you consent to advertising cookies, we and our advertising partners may use information about your visit to show you RoMac ads on other sites and platforms and to measure whether those ads worked. This activity may be considered "sharing" for targeted advertising under some state privacy laws, even though no money changes hands.
You can opt out at any time by declining or withdrawing advertising consent in our preference panel, by sending a Global Privacy Control signal, or by using the ad settings offered by Google and Meta directly.
We do not knowingly use or share the personal information of anyone under 16 for targeted advertising.
7. Email and Text Messages
Email
The RoMac Builders Brief is our monthly email newsletter, sent only to people who subscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any issue or by emailing marketing@romacfl.com. Transactional email about your quotes, orders, deliveries, appointments, invoices, and account is not marketing email and may continue after you unsubscribe.
Text messages
RoMac Building Supply and RoMac Home Services send text messages about estimates, appointments, technician arrival, orders, deliveries, and account activity to customers who provide a mobile number and agree to receive them. Consent is never a condition of purchase or service. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply.
To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. Reply HELP for help. You can also call 352-787-1410 or email it@romacfl.com to opt out or ask a question.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers, text message opt-in information, or consent records with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Full text messaging terms are in our Terms and Conditions.
8. Job Applicants
If you apply for a role with RoMac, we use the information you provide to evaluate your application, contact you and your references, and manage our hiring process. We may keep applications on file for future openings. We do not use applicant information for marketing.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
-
Know what personal information we have collected about you, and how we use and share it.
-
Access a copy of your personal information.
-
Correct inaccurate personal information.
-
Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions such as records we must keep for tax, warranty, lien, or contract purposes.
-
Receive your information in a portable format.
-
Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising.
-
Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a lower quality of service because you made a privacy request.
How to make a request
-
Email it@romacfl.com, call 352-787-4545, or write to the address in Section 15. Tell us what you are asking for and give us enough information to locate your records.
-
We will confirm receipt and respond within the time required by applicable law, generally 45 days, and will tell you if we need more time.
-
We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request. We may ask you to confirm information we already hold.
-
An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission, and we may ask you to confirm that permission directly.
-
If we decline your request, we will tell you why. You may ask us to reconsider by replying to our response, and we will provide a written decision on that appeal.
10. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and then for as long as required to meet legal, tax, accounting, warranty, and contract obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Quote, order, credit, and service records are retained in line with our business and legal requirements.
Marketing subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe, plus a record of the unsubscribe so we can honor it.
Consent records, including text message opt-in and opt-out records, are retained for as long as needed to demonstrate the choices you made and to meet our legal obligations.
Information may persist in secure backups for a period after deletion from active systems.
11. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and limiting access to employees and vendors who need it. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet. Keep your account credentials confidential and tell us promptly if you believe an account has been accessed without authorization.
12. Children's Privacy
The Website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and other applicable law.
13. Third-Party Links and Services
The Website links to third-party sites and services, including manufacturer sites, credit and payment platforms, review platforms, and social media. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or the law. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date above and post the updated Policy here. If changes are significant, we will provide additional notice on the Website. Your continued use of the Website after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
