That’s why we’re proud to support local students through career and technical education (CTE) programs and our partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter, Florida.
Creating Opportunities for the Next Generation
Local school districts are investing in students by giving them opportunities to explore careers through hands-on learning. Programs like the Youth Construction Academy at Leesburg High School give students the chance to experience construction beyond the classroom, introducing them to the skills, teamwork and problem-solving that go into building a home.
RoMac is proud to sponsor this opportunity and help give students a firsthand look at the construction industry.
For these students, the experience isn't just about learning how to use tools or understand construction techniques. It’s about discovering what they’re capable of, building confidence and seeing how the skills they’re learning today can translate into a career tomorrow.
We’re also proud to support students at Wildwood Middle High School and the educators who are helping prepare them for what comes next. Their dedication to hands-on education is helping create opportunities for students to explore the trades and discover potential career paths.
From the Classroom to the Job Site
One of the most meaningful parts of these programs is the opportunity for students to take what they learn in the classroom and put it into practice.
Through Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter, students participating in the Youth Construction Academy can gain job-site experience while helping build a home for a local family.
That creates a powerful connection between education and community.
Students aren't simply learning about construction, they're seeing how their work can make a tangible difference for someone in their own community.
