Shawna Jaecks, the president and co-owner, begins by sharing, “I’m Shawna Jaecks, and I am the president and one owner of Morey Construction Corporation.”

Bill Dumelle, also a co-owner, adds, “And I’m Bill Dumelle, and I’m the owner as well of Morey Construction. And I also own Aluminum Structure.”

The business has been in their family for decades, originally managed by Peter Morey. Recently, Shawna and Bill took the helm, continuing the family legacy with a modern touch.

Shawna explains their distinctive approach: “We bring customers on board early, show them our ideas, and go through a design process. We can help from scratch, even if they only have a general idea.”

Bill emphasizes their commitment to quality: “We strive to get the best subcontractors. We’re on every job site every day, ensuring custom details are meticulously taken care of.”

Morey Construction is renowned for its work in challenging environments. Bill highlights, “We’re known for working in flood zones and high hurricane impact areas. It’s a challenge, but we aim to create projects that don’t impact waterways while ensuring homes are functional and durable.”

Shawna adds, “We anticipate floods, hurricanes, or high winds. Our goal is to build homes that withstand these elements.”

For Bill, building is a lifelong passion. “I’ve always wanted to be a builder. Making customers happy is incredibly rewarding,” he shares.

Shawna loves the dynamic nature of custom home building. “I love the constant challenge of building custom homes. Every day is different, and I enjoy solving problems as they arise.”
