This National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, RoMac Building Supply is taking the time to recognize the team members behind the wheel who help keep our customers, job sites and projects moving.
More Than Just Getting From Point A to Point B
At RoMac, every delivery takes more than simply getting materials from our yard to the job site. Our drivers make sure the right materials arrive on time, at the right location and ready for the job.
Our fleet ranges from smaller delivery trucks to large semis, and the materials they carry can vary just as much. A truss delivery requires a different approach than delivering doors and maneuvering a large truck into a busy construction site takes a different skillset than navigating a residential neighborhood.
Our drivers know their trucks, understand their loads and know how to work with the conditions in front of them.
They aren't just drivers. They're problem solvers and solution finders.
Whether it's figuring out how to navigate a tight jobsite, safely position a load or adjust when plans change, our drivers find a way to get the job done.
Skill Behind the Wheel
Delivering construction materials takes more than knowing how to drive a truck.
Our drivers understand how to secure and protect their loads, navigate challenging roads and job sites, maneuver large vehicles through tight spaces and safely deliver materials where they're needed.
They work with different trucks, different loads and different job site conditions every day.
Whether they're maneuvering a semi into a busy construction site or carefully positioning a smaller delivery truck at a residential project, our drivers bring experience and attention to detail to every delivery.
Early Mornings. Late Evenings. Long Days.
For many RoMac drivers, the workday starts before the sun comes up.
First outs are a big part of what we do. Some of our trucks are on the road before daylight, making sure materials are at the jobsite and ready when crews arrive.
While the day may start early, it doesn't necessarily end early. Our trucks are rarely all back in before the sun goes down.
Between early-morning deliveries, long days on the road, changing schedules and the challenges that come with construction sites, our drivers put in the time to keep materials moving and help make our contractors' lives a little easier.
They also navigate traffic, weather, changing schedules and the unexpected challenges that come with getting materials from our locations to job sites across Central Florida.
They show up, load up, drive out and get the job done. Day after day.
Every Load Has a Purpose
Behind every delivery is a project.
A bundle of trusses can become the framework of a new home. A door delivery can be the final piece of a construction schedule. A load of building materials can mean a crew is able to keep working instead of waiting.
Our drivers play an important role in making those moments happen.
They are one of the connections between our team and our customers and their work is a critical part of what allows RoMac to provide the materials and service our customers depend on.
