About the Job
Designs and produces layouts for residential, multi-family, and light commercial wall panel systems for pricing and manufacturing. Collaborates with internal teams and customers to ensure accurate, efficient, and cost-effective designs. This position is eligible for The Villages Charter School.
Responsibilites
Design wall panel layouts based on construction plans and project requirements.
Perform engineering and material takeoffs.
Coordinate with sales, estimating, production, engineering, and architects.
Resolve architectural and structural design conflicts.
Maintain project files, engineering seals, and records.
Analyze loading conditions and apply design software.
Compute material specifications and stress requirements.
Ensure efficient use of materials based on inventory and cost.
Conduct job site inspections and resolve customer service issues.
Produce bills of materials (BOM).
Qualifications
2–3 years of wall panel design experience.
2–3 years of MiTek design software experience.
2–3 years preparing shop, construction, and permitting documents.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Proficiency with Google Suite.
Hands-on construction experience a plus.
