About the Role
RoMac Building Supply is looking for a Lead Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Leesburg, Florida. This full-time position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical skills, a proactive work ethic, and a passion for maintaining trucks and equipment that keep a business moving.
We’re seeking a hands-on leader—not just someone who can turn a wrench, but someone who takes pride in doing the job right, keeping detailed maintenance records, and preventing breakdowns before they happen.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair diesel trucks and heavy equipment
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance
Keep maintenance logs up-to-date and organized
Ensure all work meets RoMac’s safety and performance standards
Occasionally assist with forklift or hydraulic equipment maintenance
Operate tools and equipment efficiently and safely
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
1+ year of diesel mechanic experience (Required)
1+ year of automotive diagnostics experience (Required)
Strong understanding of diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, and braking systems
Able to diagnose and repair independently
Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Organized and detail-oriented
Forklift or heavy equipment repair experience is a plus
License/Certification:
Florida Driver's License (Required)
