About the Job
RoMac Building Supply is seeking an experienced Garage Door Service Technician to install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial garage door systems. This role requires strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and excellent customer service while performing work at customer job sites.
Responsibilites
Install, repair, and replace residential and commercial garage doors, operators, springs, cables, and hinges
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on-site
Perform routine maintenance and inspections of garage door systems
Communicate with customers to explain repair options and recommend appropriate upgrades
Maintain accurate service records, customer notes, and vehicle parts inventory
Follow OSHA and company safety procedures while working at residential job sites
Respond to emergency service calls and participate in on-call rotations as needed
Qualifications
Previous experience servicing residential and commercial garage doors required
Proficiency with hand and power tools required
Knowledge of electrical wiring required; welding experience preferred
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
Professional, customer-focused attitude
Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks, including standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and reaching
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at heights
